Craft Business Manager UK
We are looking for a results-driven business leader to serve as Craft Business Manager for the thriving Craft Community. Working with the Global Craft Community Leader the position is responsible for developing strategy for the UK business and following through on individual initiatives and ideas building and executing implementation plans for product in a broad array of media including distribution through the web, books, events and other mediums for each opportunity. Extensive market knowledge, commercially orientated editorial expertise, experience of business development and sales management are required.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Actively identify and pursue new business growth opportunities including new product launches and acquisitions and create business plans that maximize product mix, content delivery and sales channels.
- Work with partners and authors to execute and deliver key initiatives to market – following through from conception to launch.
- Demonstrate and communicate with customers, partners, supervisors and staff a thorough understanding of the community and its trends – both consumer and marketplace.
- Work closely with the ecommerce team to ensure the online store product offer resonates with the wider craft audience and is always on trend.
- Work with editorial, and with the help of emedia, ensure that all opportunities with authors are exploited including development of kits, webinars, online stores etc.
- Work closely with key contributors and authors to be the key point person for the FWI community.
- Work collaboratively with the Craft Community Leader, other F+W executives and community leaders as well as HR, finance, accounting, and production, sharing and learning best practices.
Financial Management
- Effectively establish and manage budgets for each strategic initiative
- Take shared responsibility to meet or exceed the Craft Community UK EBITDA and budget goals.
